Abstract: I wish to discuss recent developments concerning the long term behavior in terms of (possibly finite-dimensional) global attractors and convergence to a single equilibrium, as time goes to infinity, of solutions to a continuum model for biological aggregations. The model is the aggregation equation with both degenerate and non-degenerate diffusion in which individuals experience long-range social attraction and short range dispersal.
