Title: On a class of degenerate parabolic equations with dynamic boundary conditions

Abstract: I will consider a quasi-linear parabolic equation with nonlinear dynamic boundary conditions occurring as a natural generalization of the semilinear (scalar) reaction-diffusion equation with dynamic boundary conditions. These "new" boundary conditions occur in various physical processes motivated by problems in diffusion phenomena, phase-transition phenomena, special flows in hydrodynamics, models in climatology and mathematical biology, and many others. We wish to discuss classical issues, such as, well-posedness and the existence of the global attractor describing the long-term behavior of the system. We derive new conditions which reflect an exact balance between the interior and boundary mechanisms involved, even when the nonlinear sources contribute in opposite directions.
